Dammit, I was in Buenos Aires when Khan fought McCloskey and was too busy guzzling the Malbec to blog about it. I was particularly looking forward to posting, since in the run up to the fight, I'd thought of the best pun of all time - see above. I'm disappointed that it wasn't quite the thriller the Maidana fight was, but that's the way things go I guess.
British boxing is in a good place right now, not least with the announcement of the Haye/Klitschko bought, now definitely going ahead on 2nd July. I cannot wait for this! The Haye camp must've doubled their efforts to get the fight to materialise particularly in light of the Harrison farce. This is obviously THE challenge that everyone's been waiting for and I for one look forward to seeing David (we're on first name terms) smash it.
If he wins this, then there's talk of him delaying his retirement to face Vitali Klitschko. Now that would be impressive. Come on David!
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it
The Premier League could not be more exciting if it tried. Yesterday was a good football day. A Liverpool win (super, super Suarez) and a United loss did wonders for my disposition. It's only taken all season, but Arsenal finally helped us out. And Gomes, well I could just about kiss that fellow right now. That was a goal, I don't care who thinks differently.
Can we make fifth? Naturally I'm hopeful. Kenny has transformed our season from a potential relegation scare to a possible chance of (proper) European involvement. That's pretty good in my book. The next few weeks will be immense, every move counts. Phwoar, it's brilliant isn't it?!
The youngest signing ever
I expect that you'll have seen this by now, but I think this kid is amazing. Should he have a football contract at the age of 18 months? Absolutely not, it's bloody ridiculous. What a right foot though!
