Madness I tell thee...

The sky is literally falling down all over the show, which is of great concern to me.  Why is this relevant?  Well, recently, I've been obsessing over the tracking stats of this blog and the response that it might get etc.  The global unrest, whilst by no means a new concept, has really resonated with me recently and I am reminded that, actually, noting my musings on this little page need not become an obsession.  My thoughts are with those whose world is being turned on it's head and it has made me all the more grateful that I am in a position to write about something I love.  So, on I go...

First up, Jens (tee hee) Lehmann (hahahahahaaaaa)
I can hardly believe that this has happened.  Yes the man is an Arsenal legend.  Yes, the Gooners have had a slim pickin's on the goalie front for sometime.  But this is just bonkers, no?  Lehmann's age isn't an issue for me, like it is for some - if he does the job then fine.  I just think that this is the most hilarious turn of events, not least because the guy is crazy.  If you need proof, then just watch this video, it's brilliant! (Keep the sound down unless you like crazy house music.)  Word on the street is that Liverpool are resigning Rush.  Why not?

It's going to be a lean summer in the Champ house...
Why?  Because the ticketing system for the Olympics is fecking stupid.  I want to try and see every possible sport I can feast my greedy little eyes on, so I'm applying for as many events as I can.  I am of course assuming that I wont get everything I put my name down for.  But supposing I do?  I may actually end up homeless for the summer just to accommodate.  Surely there should be a deposit system in place a la Glastonbury, or something along those lines?  I'll be sure to report my success/lackthereof/potential bankruptcy in May upon checking my account balance.

Now to our national farceball team
Is it wrong of me to completely write of English national football until Fabio Capello does one?  I don't even care if he re-instates Terry as skipper, it's basically meaningless.  After all, everyone but my Nan seems to have been England Captain at some point.  I'm only saying this, because I'm bored of the farce associated with this man at our club.  I can't knock his previous achievements, I respect them completely.  But I can't help feeling similar to the way I felt in the run up to Torres leaving Liverpool.  It's quite apparent that he doesn't want to be there and he's counting the days until he can make his exit.  Perhaps I'm being harsh - I don't know Capello (obviously), it's just a vibe I get.

Penalty shoot out on your mobile
There's a new iPhone game from Liverpool FC which allows you to shoot against Pepe Reina!  Check this out.  I don't have an iphone.  But if I did I'd download it, sounds like a hoot.  I reckon it's only a matter of time before you'll be able to combine these games with a betting site and start raking in the wonga, so if I were you I'd get in some practise before it really takes off.  There's a thought, maybe that's how I can raise money for my Olympics tickets!
